Fabric Coordinator
Position Summary
The Fabric Coordinator supports the production team by managing all fabric-related processes
and ensuring seamless communication between vendors, manufacturers, and internal departments. This role is central to fabric organization, sourcing, approvals, and
troubleshooting, helping keep the production calendar on track. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in following up on fabric developments, approvals, and
deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Support fabric sourcing, testing, and vendor follow-up.
- Work alongside our Production and Design team to develop new fabrications, formulate
corrections and provide solutions as appropriate - Track and communicate all fabric updates and changes across departments.
- Organize and maintain lab dips, fabric swatches, and approval records.
- Manage color and fabric approvals, ensuring timely sign-offs.
- QC fabric to ensure it meets quality standards before production.
- Monitor fabric issues at the manufacturing level and coordinate resolutions.
- Keep the collection plan organized and aligned with fabric developments.
- Maintain updated records of fabric inventory, purchase orders, and approvals.
- Coordinate fabric shipments and deliveries with vendors and manufacturers.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all fabric-related inquiries.
- The position is dedicated to fabric assistants, approvals, and production support.
- Enforce the company’s quality standards and expectations when dealing with factories,
while at the same time maintaining a professional demeanor. - Be able to work autonomously and be a team player
Minimum qualifications:
- 3-5 + years of related professional experience
- Must have strong organizational skills and be able to manage multiple different projects
at once - Knowledge of garment and fabric construction, terminology, measurements, and
workmanship - Ability to accurately measure a garment
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Must have reliable transportation, valid CA driver’s license, and proof of insurance
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Sheets
- Able to manage multiple prioritize and meet deadlines
- Spanish speaking is a plus
Working Environment / Conditions
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Position requires driving throughout the day to various factories around LA
- Ability to maintain a composed and professional demeanor under pressure
- Ability to react and adapt to change
