Model Muse: Scarlett Leithold x Joah Brown
Kickin' It Oldschool.
For a recent editorial shoot, we took a field trip to LA's 80's throwback bar, Break Room 86.
We love mixing the old with the new, so Break Room's retro aesthetic paired with our contemporary basics made for a fun juxtaposition.
Scarlett is like your quintessential 80's blockbuster "hot chick": fun-loving, gorgeous, popular, and confident.
We wanted to capture Scarlett's chemistry and spark, as well as her equally sweet, angelic personality which is evident from the moment you meet her.
The combined elements of Break Room 86's arcade/karaoke vibes and Scarlett's classic-yet-quirky disposition made this JB shoot a blast (from the past).
Take a look at some of our favorite stylings:
We are in love with our Move Tank for workouts, but decided to change it up by giving it a little sexy tomboy twist.
The perfect white tank and Reebok Classics help balance out a colored denim.
It's all about the details:
Scarlett looks ethereal as ever in our champagne Shimmy Dress.
Throwing on some navy sneakers brings a cool, effortless feel to the delicate look.
Next up, we paired a totally 80's windbreaker, black denim, and shoelace belt, with our Minimal Muscle Tank to reign the look in.
We love getting away from the conventional, while still being comfortable and accessible.
This look is sugar & spice if we ever did see it, and a great example of a day-to-night piece.
Our Lazy Day Tank is a daytime staple for beaching it, going to yoga, or running errands - but tuck it into a pretty lil wrap skirt, throw on some boots,
and become a whole new woman! (Bra optional)
A case of the black and blues: There were so many visually enticing nooks of Break Room 86 that were so much fun to play off of.
In this first look, we kept it minimal by highlighting our Get Down Bra with some funky vintage denim.
This bra is incredible for yoga or under a tee, but sometimes the cut-out detail is too cool not to show off by itself.
Lastly, we loved styling Scarlett in one of our newest pieces, the Reign Romper.
The limits of the romper knows no end. You can wear it as a swim cover-up, layered under a sweater, by itself, or in this case:
Layered over a fun vintage graphic tee and work boots.
